I like music. A lot. But, I know next to nothing about music. So if you’re looking for blogs with some musical expertise better move on, you will only be disappointed. If you don’t think it’s necessary to know what a middle eight is to appreciate music (or appreciate music while not knowing what a middle eight is) you might enjoy it around here. However, what that also means – besides you better not expecting any feats of musical analysis – is that my choices are entirely subjective. I’m not saying it will never happen that I blog about a band that I recognize as good although I don’t really like them, but it’s not going to happen very often. At the same time I will unashamedly blog about bands I enjoy even if I realize they’re not actually any good or particularly inventive.
Why only European music?
I fell in love with the Slovak music scene a few years ago, then developed an obsession with Norwegian rock, and at some time in between realized that there are a lot of awesome bands hidden away in all those tiny countries. I’ll leave the other continents to people with a better knowledge of their culture and language.
You know X isn’t in Europe, right?
Most likely. I occasionally sneak in a non-European act I particularly enjoy.
