Music links

Other music blogs, journals etc.  with a focus on international music (in English):

Aurgasm – Fairly eclectic mp3 blog *

Eardrums - IndiePop/alternative mp3 blog with a slight focus on the nordic countries

Fat Planet – Australia-based blog on international music, sadly defunct (but the archives are well worth browsing), now discontent. *

I <3 Icelandic Music – surprise surprise: Icelandic music blog

It’s About Diversity – Blog on non-English music *

It’s A Trap – Scandinavian music journal, news, charts etc.

Nialler9 – Irish mp3/music blog

Nö music – Norwegian music blog

Music Alliance Pact – Once a month a bunch of international music bloggers send in one song from their country *

MusiQ – Catalogue of non-English music, focus on Eastern Europe and Central Asia

Swedesplease – Mp3 blog devoted to Swedish music

The Pop Cop – Scottish music blog

.

Other great music resources

Eurosonic – Dutch festival focusing on new European bands, the line-up is always worth checking out*

Fabchannel (may it rest in peace :( ) – Concerts, mostly from Amsterdam’s Paradiso club, streaming for free. Biggest database of concerts I’ve found anywhere online, playlists for all sorts of music/regions, a lot of Indie, Dutch and Scandinavian bands

NRK P3 – Norwegian radio station with full concerts from Norwegian festivals. Mostly, but not only, Scandinavian artists (Scroll down to find the video archive, videos might only work in IE)

Rockpalast – German TV show, slowly releasing its archives online. Festivals (including Eurosonic), full concerts etc.

Spotify – Best free, legal streaming service I’ve encountered so far. Great especially to hear more mainstream music from other countries, sadly many international Indie labels had country restrictions enforced (I might still have a few invites if anyone needs any, contact details on About page) *

Thesixtyone – great way to discover new, unsigned artists, although can be hard to find really amazing stuff and the amount of non-English music comes close to 0 percent.

Vegaplayer – Free streaming concerts from Copenhagen’s Vega. similar to Fabchannel, but fairly new so with a very limited database
